CALL FOR PAPERS

First Workshop on Tools for Data Locality, Power and Performance (TDLPP
2023) Co-located with Euro-Par 2023

Limassol, Cyprus, Aug. 28 - Sep. 1, 2023

https://www.tdlpp-workshop.org/

The First Workshop on Tools for Data Locality, Power and Performance
(TDLPP 2023) aims to provide a platform for developers and users of
tools that address the important topic of memory access
optimization. The widening gap between compute capability and the
speed of memory continues to be a challenge in various application
areas, including sparse matrices, tensors, or graphs. To address this
challenge, tools are needed to help developers understand the behavior
of their codes and optimize their applications. The TDLPP workshop is
designed to provide such a platform for researchers, practitioners,
and enthusiasts to share their latest research, ideas, and experiences
in this area.

Topics of interest for the TDLPP workshop include, but are not limited to:

- Profiling and tracing tools for analyzing an application’s memory access
patterns
- Communication modelling approaches (intra-node, inter-node, CPU to
accelerator,...)
- Approaches for data layout and memory access optimization
- Programming techniques for communication avoidance and communication hiding
- Roofline modeling
- Exploiting hardware features to optimize memory access: high-bandwidth
memory, prefetching
- Data access optimization in the context of disaggregated memory
- Power and energy monitoring measurement, modeling, and optimization
approaches

Important Dates

- Paper submission deadline: May 5, 2023
- Author notification: June 19, 2023
- Camera-ready submission: July 2, 2023
- Workshop date: Full-day workshop on August 28 or 29, 2023

We look forward to receiving your submission and to seeing you at the
TDLPP work shop in Limassol, Cyprus.
