Dear colleagues,

Find here a call for papers for a IEEE Internet Computing magazine 
special issue on Future of HPC, hosted by Dejan Milojicic, Ian Foster 
and myself. Consider submitting. Deadline has been extended to July 15th.

Scope of interest:

- Convergence of HPC, AI, and Data Analytics
- New compute architectures and accelerators
- Communication and interconnect technologies
- Advanced memory and storage technologies
- HPC as a Service, HPC in the Cloud
- Heavy and light edge
- HPC Workflows and new programming models
- Heterogeneous programming environments
- Novel applications and industry verticals
- Societal, legal, and ethical aspects

All papers will go through a regular review process.

Call for Papers: Special Issue on Future of HPC
IEEE Internet Computing seeks submissions for this upcoming special issue.

Can you predict the future? If so, consider submitting a paper to this 
Special Issue.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
•    Convergence of HPC, AI, and Data Analytics
•    New compute architectures and accelerators
•    Communication and interconnect technologies
•    Advanced memory and storage technologies
•    HPC as a Service, HPC in the Cloud
•    Heavy and light edge
•    HPC Workflows and new
•    Heterogeneous programming environments
•    Novel applications and industry verticals
•    Societal, legal, and ethical aspects

By “future” we consider anything from 1 to 20 or more years out, but 
more important than time is the change in how HPC is created, delivered 
and used.

Important Dates

Paper submissions due: 8 July 2022 15th July 2022
First-round review due: 23 September 2022
Revision due: 20 October 2022
Final decision notification: 15  November 2022
Camera-ready submission due: 2 December 2022
Publication: January/February 2023
