                    CALL FOR WORKSHOP PAPERS

*********************************************************************

The 18th IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium
(NOMS 2022) will be held on 25-29 April 2022 in Budapest, Hungary.
Held in even-numbered years since 1988, NOMS 2022 will follow the 34
years tradition of NOMS and IM as the primary IEEE Communications
Society's forum for technical exchange on management of information
and communication technology focusing on research, development,
integration, standards, service provisioning, and user communities.

NOMS 2022 will feature the following 10 co-located workshops, which
will be held immediately prior or after the main Technical Program, to
further disseminate fine-tuned research, and that are organized around
the main conference theme: Network and Service Management in the
Era of Cloudification, Softwarization and Artificial Intelligence.

Prospective authors are invited to check the website of each workshop
to know about the specific scope and topics, as well as for the
procedures for submitting contributions through the JEMS conference
management system.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st workshop on Autonomous Network Management in 5G and beyond systems
(ANMS 2022)

Website: https://h2020daemon.eu/workshop-ansm-2022/
Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4018

New networking systems aim to be fully Autonomous Networks (ANs) with
management capabilities such as self-configuration, self-healing,
self-optimizing, and self-evolving, aspects that today’s networks do not
support as their management is mainly manual with some automated assistance.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) (and more precisely Machine Learning (ML))
algorithms are promising to empower the new generation of intelligent decision
engines that present self-dynamic capabilities to fully realize ANs. ANMS
workshop focuses on novel research in AI-based and hybrid approaches (AI +
non-AI) algorithms for AN management (closed-loop control) and Framework,
algorithms, techniques, and tools to build and support AI-based solutions for
ANs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7th International Workshop on Analytics for Network and Service
Management (AnNet 2022)

Website: https://sites.google.com/unal.edu.co/annetworkshop2022/welcome
Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4019

AnNet aims to present research and experience results in data
analytics and machine learning for network and service management.
Approaches such as statistical analysis, data mining and machine
learning are promising to harness the immense stream of operational
data and to improve operations and management of IT systems and
networks.

1st International Workshop on Technologies for Network Twins (TNT 2022)

Website: https://sites.google.com/view/tnt-2022/home
Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4020

Digital twins provide virtual and real-time representations of physical
networks and empower network designers and operators to achieve simplified,
automatic, evidence-driven, and resilient full life-cycle operation and
maintenance. Digital twin networking has seen a continuous and rising interest
from the research, engineering, and operational communities in recent years,
with proposals on base technologies, architectures, and practical
implementations. TNT will explore the duality created by i) using digital twin
technologies to enable new ways of managing and operating networks and digital
infrastructures and ii) the challenges emerging from the management of
large-scale digital twins requiring innovative forms of networked systems
management. Federation, data fusion, interoperability, and integrability of
heterogeneous network twins in multi-provider, multi-operator and
multi-domains/multi-applications environments will become increasingly
important considerations to allow digital twin technologies to deliver their
full potential and value across all industries.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd International workshop on “Fully-Flexible Internet Architectures
and Protocols for the Next-Generation Tactile Internet” (FlexNGIA
2022)

Website: https://www.flexngia.net/workshop-flexngia-2022
Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4021

The rise of edge, Cloud and in-network computing and the proliferation of AI
solutions in networking are promoting the development of innovative
applications like virtual/augmented reality, telepresence, autonomous systems,
remotely controlled robotics and tactile applications, promising to
revolutionize health-care, transportation, industry, agriculture, society and
culture. To deploy such applications and to comply with their
requirements, there is a need for new Internet architectures and protocols
allowing a Tactile Internet that combines ultra low latency with
extremely high availability, reliability and security. T . Such novel
architectures and protocols are embodied in several initiatives like FlexNGIA
(https://www.FlexNGIA.net) or projects like Teraflow
(https://www.teraflow-h2020.eu). This workshop has the purpose of investigating
how to rethink the current Internet and to devise new architectures and
protocols by efficiently harnessing recent technological advances in
virtualization, network softwarization, NFV/SDN, and Data plane
programmability.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3rd International workshop on Graph-based network Security (GraSec 2022)

Website: https://grasec.uni.lu/
Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4022

Graph-based modeling offers the advantage of understanding complex
attacks and determining the root cause of an attack. However, existing
graph mining tools for anomaly detection over streaming events are not
adapted for cyber-security problems while the corresponding data
continuously appears in the form of complex graphs. The main goal of
GraSec is to present research and experience results in graph
applications on network and cybersecurity as well as the defensive and
offensive tools.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The main goal of IPSN Workshop is to present state-of-the-art research results
and experience reports in the area of AI/ML for network management on
softwarized networks, addressing topics such as artificial intelligence
techniques and models for network and service management in softwarized
networks; smart service orchestration, training process at the constrained
edge, dynamic Service Function Chaining, Intent and policy based management,
centralized vs distributed control of SDN/NFV based networks, analytics and big

The Internet of Things (IoT) emerges as a major architectural
paradigm for achieving machine-to-machine (M2M) communication.
Managing IoT-based systems is complex and exciting.
Though being an evolution from classical management,
managing IoT things is still disruptive as classical assumptions
about connectivity, compute resources, or usage patterns do not
hold anymore. The manage-IoT workshop focuses on management
methodologies for the Internet of Things, including resource, data,
service, and security management.

Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4026

The Industry 4.0 revolution presents a multitude of management related
challenges including the transition from ISA-95 to RAMI4.0/IIRA based
automation for production automation, the integration of legacy OT
with emerging IT technologies, the automation/digitalisation across
value networks involving a multitude of stakeholders in complex
relationships, and the formation of large to very large System of
Systems (SoS). This workshop will focus on a number of core
engineering and management issues for Industry 4.0, associated theory,
architectures, frameworks, security and experimental experience.

2nd workshop on Tools and Concepts for Communication and Networked
Systems (TCoNS 2022)

Web site: http://comsys.ovgu.de/TCoNS.html
Submit papers at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=4027

The Internet of Things (IoT) and related future networking concepts promise the
ubiquitous availability of data. In the near future, service-oriented
interaction will become part of IoT design principles, forming a new type of
emergent behavior. New methods, models, and algorithms are necessary in order
to ensure functionality, resiliency, and security. The workshop addresses
current research related to the implementation and realization of future IoT
applications and systems. Particular focus is put on concepts, tools, and the
toolchains that are required for this endeavor. Furthermore, flexible right
management, capability and performance profiles, and request evaluation for
dynamically composed IoT settings will be targeted. We want to discuss how to
realize abstract representations of these aspects in order to automatically
react to adapted requests, changed network configurations, or system states.
