SC21 will require more student volunteers than a typical year due to a hybrid program. We will still require a full suite of in person students to handle the in person events, but also a set of remote students that can handle the online side of events.

Any students worldwide that uses large scale compute as part of their work, no matter the discipline (e.g., including humanities using data analytics to support their work) including undergrads and grad students are encouraged to apply. Any student who will be age 18 before the conference begins is eligible to participate.

All on site students will receive a hotel room. Given current covid protocols, this will be a single room rather than the traditional shared room. This may change by the conference date based on health guidelines with students given the option to share or switch to supporting the online program. Some travel support is also available.

Students are asked to work 15-20 hours over the conference while receiving a reduced registration fee and invitation to all student specific events beyond the typical conference program.
