Reconnect the World, Reconnect to CCNC
19th IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC)
Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2022 (IN-PERSON)
https://ccnc2022.ieee-ccnc.org
==================================================
The IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference (CCNC), sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, is a major annual international conference. Taking advantage of its co-location with the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is the world's largest trade show on consumer technology, CCNC is organized to help the consumer electronics industry drive the advancement of the numerous wireless and wireline communications technologies that will one day provide on-demand access to both entertainment and information anytime, anywhere, regardless of time or location. This includes a detailed analysis of nearly every technological area ranging from cognitive and peer-to-peer networking to the designer services and tools used to ensure ease-of-use, security and stunning interactivity.

The conference will present the latest developments and technical solutions in the areas of large scale experimentation, home/consumer networking, efficient wireless spectrum use, enabling technologies, and novel applications and services. The conference will include a peer-reviewed program of technical sessions, special sessions, industry track sessions, tutorials, and demonstration sessions.

In addition, IEEE CCNC 2022 is proud to announce three distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Mehdi Bennis, Head of the Intelligent Connectivity and Networks/Systems Group (ICON), University of Oulu, Finland, Prof. Yingying (Jennifer) Chen, Associate Director of the Wireless Information Network Laboratory (WINLAB)<http://www.winlab.rutgers.edu/>, Rutgers University, USA, and Dr. Sunghyun Choi, Senior Vice President and Head of the Advanced Communications Research Center at Samsung Research.

As a concrete sign of return to a new normalcy, we are pleased to announce that the conference will be held in-person in Las Vegas, USA. Like pre-Covid conferences, authors of accepted papers are required to register for the conference at the full (non-student, member or non-member) rate, and the paper must be presented in-person by one of the authors of that paper. Special provisions, such as the possibility to upload pre-recorded videos of their presentations or to present their works via Zoom, will apply to authors unable to leave their countries of origin/to enter the US or to travel in general, due to Covid-19 restrictions or to well-documented health reasons.

Claudio Casetti, General Chair, Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy
Marco Di Felice, TPC Chair, University of Bologna, Italy
Bang Chul Jung, Vice TPC Chair, Chungnam National University, Korea

CALL FOR TUTORIALS PROPOSALS
==============================

IEEE CCNC 2022 invites proposals for half-day (3 hours) or full-day (6 hours) tutorials that are scheduled to take place on the first and last day of the conference (8 and 11 January, 2022). As part of the technical program of the conference, the tutorial will be on-line (details of the format will be provided as we approach the dates of the conference). Tutorials are open to all registered conference attendees at no extra charge.

We seek proposals across a wide range of topics and levels—ranging from fundamentals to the latest advances in hot topic areas. Examples include AI-based networking, testbed and platforms for testing future wireless systems, energy harvesting and transfer, aerial and robotic-based networks, open-source 5 and 6G networking, and security and privacy in all areas of consumer communications and networking and of the Internet of Things.

PROPOSAL FORMAT
Each tutorial proposal must contain the following:
•       Title
• Names and Affiliations of Speakers
• Abstract (one or two paragraphs)
• Intended Audience (one paragraph): Describe the background that attendees should have. Tutorials may range from introductory to the field for attendees new to a topic, to advanced (for experts).
• Description: A statement (no more than 2 pages) providing the relevance of the tutorial topic and a comprehensive outline of the tutorial content.
• Materials: A description (one or two paragraphs) of materials to be provided to attendees through the conference website, such as slides, annotated bibliography, code snippets, etc. NOTE: the materials themselves do not need to be provided in the proposal.
•       Bio-sketches: A half-page bio-sketch of each tutorial presenter.

SELECTION
All tutorial proposals must be sent to the Chairs, and will be peer reviewed. The Tutorial Chairs will make a final selection of tutorials to ensure variety and relevance to the conference attendees and to best fit the conference schedule.

UPON ACCEPTANCE:
Speakers for all accepted tutorials will be required to sign a commitment to present at the conference within 14 days of notification. Tutorial topics and their presenters will be featured on the IEEE CCNC 2022. Tutorial material must be emailed to the conference organizers at least 14 days before the presentation date. All questions concerning tutorial proposals should be submitted to the Tutorial Chairs.
