[hpc-announce] Paper Invitation: [Mathematics] Special Issue "Supercomputing and Mathematics"

Dear colleague,

The open access journal Mathematics (ISSN 2227-7390, IF: 1.105, rank Q1) 
is pleased to announce that we have launched a new Special Issue titled 
“Supercomputing and Mathematics”. With this Special Issue, the journal 
recognizes the importance of mathematics in the development of 
supercomputing systems, as well as the importance of supercomputing in 
the advancement of mathematical sciences.

Given the depth of your expertise and your considerable list of 
publications, we would like to cordially invite you to contribute an 
article to the Special Issue. For more information on the issue, please

Prof. Dr. Jordi Garcia and Prof. Dr. Ramon Canal (Department of Computer 
Architecture, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain) have kindly 
agreed to serve as the Guest Editors for this issue. Papers may be 
submitted from now until 31 December 2019, but extensions can be 
arranged if necessary. Submitted papers should not be under 
consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to 
send a short abstract or tentative title to us in advance 
(Julie.shi at mdpi.com or mathematics at mdpi.com).

An Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1200 CHF currently applies to each 
accepted paper. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously 
received a discount code or if your institution is participating in the 
MDPI Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP). For more information, see

Mathematics, an open access journal which provides an advanced forum for 
studies related to mathematics, is published by MDPI online monthly. The 
journal has been indexed in the SCIE, Scopus and Zentralblatt MATH. The 
First impact factor is 1.105

Open access: Mathematics is fully open access. Open access (unlimited 
and free access for readers) increases publicity and promotes more 
frequent citations, as indicated by several studies. Open access is 
supported by the authors and/or their institutions.

Rapid publication: All submissions are peer-reviewed and accepted papers 
will be published immediately. A first decision is provided to authors 
approximately 22 days after submission. Acceptance to publication takes 
approximately seven days.
