Scope
The landscape of Cloud computing is rapidly changing to meet future
demands of scale and efficiency of emerging paradigms, such as the
Internet-of-Things. This Workshop aims to bring together researchers
from both academia and the industry to foster discussion and
collaboration for tackling the systems oriented challenges of next<https://arxiv.org/pdf/1707.07452.pdf>
generation cloud computing<https://arxiv.org/pdf/1707.07452.pdf>.
Program Highlights
• Two confirmed keynote presentations from Amazon and VMWare
• Opportunities of engagement and networking for early career researchers
• Two sessions at the workshop - one on all avenues of next generation
Cloud computing and a second session on accelerator virtualization
for the Cloud
• Journal special issue for selected accepted papers
Topics of Interest
We welcome papers that impact all avenues of next generation cloud
computing, but not limited to:
1. Infrastructure – hardware, middleware and software
2. Architecture – emerging distributed and decentralised clouds
using fog/edge, serverless computing, and container technologies
3. Systems – programming models, algorithms, virtualization technologies,
hardware accelerators, and runtime systems
4. Management – scheduling, resource scaling, deployment, monitoring,
benchmarking, and metering
5. Application – novel applications in deep learning, mobile apps, IoT,
smart cities, health care etc
Important Dates
Submission deadline – April 16, 2018
Notification date – May 24, 2018
Camera-ready due – May 31, 2018
Workshop date – August 13, 2018
All deadlines are set to 11:59 p.m. anywhere on Earth
Accepted Papers
All accepted papers will be published in the ICPP 2018 conference proceedings.
Accepted papers relevant to the accelerator virtualization theme will be invited
