Supercomputing Frontiers Europe 2018

You are cordially invited to contribute as an author or a participant in “Supercomputing Frontiers Europe 2018” in Warsaw, Poland, on March 12-15.

Supercomputer Frontiers 2018 ( https://supercomputingfrontiers.eu/2018/ <https://supercomputingfrontiers.eu/2018/> ) will be the fourth edition of the annual conference which run in Singapore in 2015-2017. The 2018 edition of the conference will be organized for the first time in Warsaw, Poland by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM), University of Warsaw. The conference provides a platform for the thought leaders from both academia and industry to interact and discuss the visionary ideas, the most important global trends and substantial innovations in supercomputing. The SCF 2017 conference took place in March this year and showcased a successful scientific program with eminent plenary keynote speakers like Gordon Bell, Alessandro Curioni, Thom H. Dunning, Jr., and Haohuan Fu (http://supercomputingfrontiers.com/2017/ <http://supercomputingfrontiers.com/2017/>).
The 2016 edition keynote speakres included Bronis de Supinski, Horst Simon, Aluru Srinivas, and Dame Susan Greenfield (http://supercomputingfrontiers.com/2016/ <http://supercomputingfrontiers.com/2016/>) and the inaugural 2015 edition keynote speakres included Thomas Sterling, Satoshi Matsuoka, Robert Harrison, Rick Stevens, Jack Dongarra, Alan Gara and John Gustafson
( http://supercomputingfrontiers.com/2015/ <http://supercomputingfrontiers.com/2015/>).

Selected contributed papers from the previous editions of SCF were published in three special editions of Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations, [Vol 2, No 3 (2015) http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/7/showToc <http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/7/showToc>, Vol 3, No 2 (2016) http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/10/showToc <http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/10/showToc>, Vol 4, No 2 (2017) http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/14/showToc <http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/14/showToc> ].

Some of the themes being considered for Supercomputing Frontiers 2018 are:

• Supercomputing applications in domains of critical impact in scientific, economic and human terms, and especially those requiring computing resources approaching Exascale;

• Cryptography and HPC: classical, quantum and post-quantum;

• Big data science merging with supercomputing with associated issues of I/O, high bandwidth networking, storage, workflows, real time processing, graph methods;

• Architectural complexity of Exascale systems with special focus on new and special purpose processor architectures, supercomputing interconnects, interconnect topologies and routing, and interplay of interconnect topologies with algorithmic communication patterns for both numerically intensive computations and big data; and

• Cosmology, Astrophysics – Big Data and Big Iron;

• Genomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics and Connectomics;

• Any other topic that pushes the boundaries of supercomputing to exascale and beyond.

Please consider the opportunity to contribute to the success of the conference by sharing your research, breakthroughs or visionary ideas with the international community.
The selected papers that will again be published in the International Journal of Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations.

You are invited to submit 4-page extended abstract by Jenuary 5, 2018.

For more information, please check the conference website - http://supercomputingfrontiers.eu/2018/ <http://supercomputingfrontiers.eu/2018/>.

Please disseminate this announcement to those colleagues and collaborators who you think might be interested to attend.
