Special Issue on Scalable Computing for Fast Big Data Applications on
Hybrid Platforms
in Springer Computing (Impact Factor: 0.997)

Submission deadline: October 2, 2016 AoE
First round of notifications: December 20, 2016
Final manuscripts due: January 20, 2017

NOTE: Papers should be submitted to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/cpe and
select the “Scalable Computing for Fast Big Data Applications on Hybrid
Platforms” special issue.
There is a 15 page max length limit (inclusive of figures and tables).
In case of an extended conference paper the submitted papers must have at
least 50% different material.

Marc Frincu (West University of Timisoara, Romania)
Bogdan Nicolae (IBM Research, Ireland).

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Novel programming models and platforms for large scale I/O and network
intensive applications on distributed systems such as clouds and fog.
- Scalable software platforms for fast Big Data analytics on heterogeneous
clouds and hybrid cloud-fog architectures
- Acceleration of domain specific Big Data applications on heterogeneous
hardware and software platforms with emphasis on the intercloud and
cloud-fog hybrids.
- Scalable monitoring and security and privacy solutions on hybrid large
scale distributed platforms.
