May 1-3, 2016

** Early registration and hotel discounts end March 29th, 2016 **
The IEEE International Symposium on Field-Programmable Custom Computing
Machines (FCCM) is the original and premier forum for presenting and
discussing new research related to computing that exploits the unique
features and capabilities of FPGAs and other reconfigurable hardware.
For 24 years, FCCM has been the place to present papers on architectures,
tools, and programming models for field programmable custom computing
machines
and applications that use such systems.
This year’s site is the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area and draws
participants from academia, government, and industry. The conference
venue is
centrally located in old town Alexandria, Virginia, a short Metro ride
to the
Smithsonian and other D.C attractions.
FCCM 2016 will feature a rich program of workshops, technical paper
presentations, panels, hardware demos, and posters. Major highlights
include:
-=> Sunday Panel of government experts on "The Future of Heterogeneous
Computing"
-=> Sunday Workshop on "Achieving an Arduino-like Fast Start for FPGAs"
-=> Technical paper sessions in Application Mapping, Hardware Debug, Tools,
and Overlays
-=> FCCM's Top Ten predictions for 2021
-=> Best paper award announcements
-=> Interactive poster sessions
-=> Xilinx workshop on C/C++ SDSoC Development Environment to follow
conference
-=> FCCM's Famous Demo Night
Each year we have an informal show-and-tell called Demo Night. This
year
it's Monday evening, May 2nd, 2016 at 6pm. Everyone is invited to
set up a
demo showing off their FCCMs, hardware, gateware, slideware, software,
tools and chips. Attendees circulate, enjoy the demos, and engage
with the
presenters while enjoying the food and drink at this stand-up and learn
event. It's always informative for demoers and attendees, great
networking, and lots of fun.
Demo Night is an excellent opportunity to talk with leaders in this
field,
including prospective customers, employees, and employers - all in an
informal setting. This event is free for registered conference
attendees
and sponsors.
If you wish to present at Demo Night, please send an email to our Demo
Night Chair, Nachiket Kapre (nachiket at ieee.org). We will reserve a
6-foot
table for you with a power outlet and wireless internet access. Please
arrange for your own monitors and displays.
We look forward to your participation in FCCM 2016!
Best regards,
FCCM 2016 Organizing Committee
