Organizers:
University Carlos III, Spain
University of Granada, Spain

Venue & Dates:
Granada, Spain, December 14-16, 2016

INTRODUCTION

ICA3PP 2016 is the 16th event in the series of conferences started in 1995
that are devoted to algorithms and architectures for parallel processing.
ICA3PP is now recognized as the main regular event of the world that is
covering many dimensions of parallel algorithms and architectures,
encompassing fundamental theoretical approaches, practical experimental
projects, and commercial components and systems. As applications of
computing systems have permeated in every aspect of our daily life, the
power of computing system has become increasingly critical. This conference
provides a forum for academics and practitioners from countries around the
world to exchange ideas for improving the efficiency, performance,
reliability, security and interoperability of computing systems and
applications.

Following the traditions of the previous successful ICA3PP conferences held
in Hangzhou, Brisbane, Singapore, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Beijing, Cyprus,
Taipei, Busan, Melbourne, Fukuoka, Vietri sul Mare, Dalian and Zhangjiajie,
ICA3PP 2016 will be held in Zhangjiajie, China. The objective of ICA3PP
2016 is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia,
industry and governments to advance the theories and technologies in
parallel and distributed computing. ICA3PP 2016 will focus on two broad
areas of parallel and distributed computing, i.e. architectures, algorithms
and networks, and systems and applications. The conference of ICA3PP 2016
will be hosted by University of Granada, Spain.

WORKSHOPS

The ICA3PP 2016 workshops provide vibrant opportunities for researchers and
industry practitioners to share their research experience, original
research results and practical development experiences on specific new
challenges and emerging issues.

The ICA3PP 2016 workshop’s proceedings will be published by Springer in the
Lecture Notes for Computer Science Series. See LNCS web page for more info.

There are five workshops for the ICA3PP 2016 edition. Please, see the each
workshop´s page for details:

- Supercomputing Co-Design Technology Workshop (SCDT).
 - International Workshop in Theoretical Approaches to Performance
Evaluation, Modeling and Simulation (TAPEMS).
 - Ultrascale Computing for Early Researchers (UCER 2016).

Systems (DLMCS 2016).

SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION INFORMATION

All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference
website (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ica3pp2016) with PDF
format. Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that
have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a
conference with proceedings. Papers must be clearly presented in English,
must not exceed 14 pages or 20 pages with the over length charge in
Springer LNCS format, including tables, figures, references and appendixes.
Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance,
relevance, and clarity of presentation assessed by at least three
reviewers. Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that,
should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and
attend the conference to present the work. ICA3PP 2016 reserves the right
to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal
from the digital library and index service), if the paper is not presented
at the conference. All accepted papers will be published by Springer LNCS
(EI Indexed). Two outstanding papers will be selected to receive the Best
Paper Award.
