Dear colleagues,
Please take note of the extended deadline for the SEM4HPC 2016 workshop
- Paper Submission: * February 27, 2016, 23:59 AOE *
A detailed version of the updated call for paper is attached below.
With kind regards,
The SEM4HPC 2016 organizers.
Call for papers
International Workshop on Software Engineering Methods for Parallel
and High Performance Applications
SEM4HPC 2016
May 31, 2016, Kyoto, Japan
http://periscope.in.tum.de/sem4hpc/
Co-located with HPDC'16
Important Dates
- Paper Submission Deadline: February 27, 2016 (extended from February 13, 2016)
- Author Notification: March 12, 2016
- Camera-Ready Material: March 27, 2016
Scope
Scope of the workshop includes the use of parallel computing beyond
traditional scientific computing and using them to develop enterprise
and industrial applications. Compared to the traditional sequential
computing paradigm, the software development, analysis and migration
tools for parallel and high performance applications are far less
matured for the IT industry to make a shift towards the new computing
paradigm
Goal of the workshop is to share and contribute in the area of
software engineering methods for parallel and high performance
computing. In particular, the workshop will focus on exploring new
frameworks, programming models, tools and techniques for building,
testing and deploying parallel applications for high performance
computing on leading edge hardware such as GPUs, recently emergent
accelerators (e.g., Xeon Phi), and integrated multi-core CPU-GPU
systems.
Topics of Interest
You are invited to participate and submit your contributions to the
SEM4HPC workshop. The areas of interest include (but will not be
limited to) the following topics:
- Programming models, frameworks, and languages for heterogeneous
parallel platforms
- Algorithms, models, and tools for energy-efficient computing on
heterogeneous parallel platforms
- Tools for debugging, performance analysis, and optimizing programs
for heterogeneous parallel platforms
- Techniques for optimizing kernels for execution on GPGPU, Intel Xeon
Phi, and future heterogeneous platforms
- Large scale data processing and data mining using parallel platforms
- Innovative applications and software development case studies on
building parallel enterprise applications
- Software Productivity Tools for developing parallel applications as
well as discovering and understanding parallelism
- Compiler optimizations and tuning heterogeneous parallel platform
- Software development productivity for parallel application development
- Design patterns, programming abstractions for heterogeneous systems
- Process Model for parallel application development
- Program refactoring/transformation for heterogeneous platform
Submission Instructions
Submissions should not exceed 8 pages formatted as per ACM proceedings
format. Please use the template available at
http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates
All submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated for selection with
respect to their suitability for the workshop, originality, and
technical quality by the program committee.
Submissions should be in PDF format and printable on US Letter or A4
sized paper. Proceedings will be published online on ACM Digital
library and also distributed to the participants.
