EASC2016 - Exascale Applications and Software Conference 2016
http://www.easc2016.com/
April 26-29, 2016
Stockholm, Sweden
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exascale computing power will likely be reached in the next decade. While
the precise system architectures are still evolving, one can safely assume
that they will be largely based on deep hierarchies of multicore CPUs with
similarly-deep memory hierarchies, potentially also supported by
accelerators.

The challenge of designing and implementing applications running
efficiently at large scale on exascale platforms involves developers of
application, libraries, programming models and system software.

The aim of this conference is to bring together developers from different
application fields to present the problems they face on the road to
exascale, their approach to solve these challenges and to share their
experience gained during the petascale period.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

- Design, implementation and optimization of applications for exascale,
including:

   Computational Fluid Dynamics
   Weather Forecast
   Neuroinformatics
   Medical Applications
   Bioinformatics
   Material Science
   Particle Physics
   Quantum Mechanics
   Geophysics
   Fusion, Space and Astrophysical plasmas
   Reactor Physics
   Finance
   Oil and Gas Source Identification
   Molecular Dynamics
   Montecarlo Methods
   Spectral Methods
   Linear and Non-linear Systems
   Numerical Libraries
   Mini-applications and Benchmarks
   Data Analytics of Large Data-sets
   Visualization

- Numerical reproducibility and accuracy: case studies, issues, and
solutions.
- Porting and optimization of applications on systems with accelerators
- New concepts in MPI and PGAS communication libraries
- Innovative parallel programming models, run-time and auto-tuning systems
- Simulation of parallel applications on exascale machines
- Performance monitoring tools
- Debuggers and correctness checkers

Paper Submission
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are three submission categories:

- Regular research paper: submission of full paper. Regular paper
submissions are limited to 10 single-space pages (including figures, tables
and references) using a 10-point on 8.5x11-inch pages (US Letter).
Templates can be found in:
http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates.

- Hot topic abstract: submission of an extended abstract. These submissions
target work-in-progress research. Hot topic extended abstracts are limited
to 3 single-space pages:
http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates.

- Poster presentation abstract. This submission is limited to 1
single-space page:
http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates.

Regular research papers, extended abstracts and poster presentation
abstracts should be submitted electronically at:
