Dear colleagues,

We would like to announce the 10th Marathon of Parallel Programming,
an HPC programming contest for multicore and manycore computer
architecture. This event will run in conjunction with 27th SBAC-PAD in
Florianopolis/Brazil.

This Marathon is a high-level competition whose goal is to promote new
developments in Parallel and Distributed Programming. Each team
consists of three (3) students members and a coach. They have 5 hours
to solve up to 9 problems. For local contest, the teams can also bring
printed hard copy material (e.g. books, manuals, notes, papers).

This year, the committee decided to open subscriptions to *remote
teams*. They will participate in a special category to commemorate
the 10th anniversary of Marathon of Parallel Programming. Check rules
& restrictions to know better this category.

Further details can be found at http://lspd.mackenzie.br/marathon or
http://regulus.pcs.usp.br/marathon .

Set up your team and join us on October 19th!

Best Regards.
