in conjunction with IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM) <http://cci.drexel.edu/ieeebibm/bibm2015/>, Washington D.C., Nov 9-12, 2015
Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research manuscripts that demonstrate current research in all areas of high performance computing, big data and computational biology. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Computational genomics and metagenomics
Computational proteomics and metaproteomics
Peptide identification from big mass spectrometry data
Genome annotations via mass spectrometry
Identification of post-translational modifications
Structural genomics via mass spectrometry
Protein-protein interactions
Computational approaches to analysis of large scale mass spectrometry data
Exploration and visualization of proteomic data
DNA assembly, clustering, and mapping
Gene identification and annotation
Parallel algorithms for biological sequence analysis
Parallel architectures for biological applications
Molecular evolution and phylogenetic reconstruction algorithms
Next generation sequence data analysis
High performance algorithms for systems biology
Cloud-enabled solutions for computational biology
Big data solutions for systems biology
Energy-aware high performance biological applications

Submission Guidelines
Original research papers reporting on theoretical and experimental work in all areas of high-performance computing in bioinformatics and computational biology are sought. Surveys, opinion pieces of recent results, and position papers are also welcome. To submit a paper, upload a PDF copy of the paper here <https://wi-lab.com/cyberchair/2015/bibm15/scripts/submit.php?subarea=SD&undisplay_detail=1&wh=/cyberchair/2015/bibm15/scripts/ws_submit.php>. Submitted manuscripts may not exceed 8 pages using IEEE 2-column format, 10-point size font on 8.5x11 inch pages ( IEEE conference style <http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html>), including figures, tables, and references. All papers will be extensively peer-reviewed. All accepted papers will appear in IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
 
Important Dates
Due date for workshop paper submission: Sept 10, 2015
Notification of paper acceptance to authors: Sept 30, 2015
Camera-ready of accepted papers: Oct 17, 2015
BIBM & its workshops: Nov 9-12, 2015
