WORKSHOP TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATION DEADLINE: November 21, 2014


This workshop will bring together women and under-represented
minorities across academia, industry, research, and government
to promote the recruitment and progression of women and minorities
who are focusing on the technical field of computer architecture.

The workshop will highlight emerging and hot topics in computer
architecture, but also provide career mentoring and advice, opportunities
for cross-disciplinary research, networking, finding internships and
career opportunities in computer architecture.



The workshop is generously sponsored by NSF, ACM SIGMICRO, IBM Research 
and the MICRO conference.
Thanks to our sponsors, this workshop will be free of charge for the 
participating
target demographic of women and minority participants under-represented 
in our field,
and they will be directly reimbursed for their registration fees.

Travel grants are available for students and junior faculty/researchers.
The deadline for application for travel grants is November 21.

We are pleased to provide travel grants to broaden the participation in 
the workshop. Students as well as junior faculty/researchers are 
eligible to apply.

This support is made possible by the generous support from the NSF, ACM 
SIGMICRO, IBM Research and the MICRO conference.
The grants will cover an applicant's travel cost (up to approx. $750) to 
Cambridge, UK, where the workshop will be held.

Priority for travel grants will be given to applicants to the target 
demographic group. Special funding may be provided
for Companion Travel Grants to support attendees with either 
disabilities, or a parent of an infant less than one year
old who cannot travel without the infant and a care provider for the infant.
