CALL FOR PAPERS
Computers and Electrical Engineering
Special Issue on Parallel Architectures, Algorithms and Programming
=======================================================================

Computational systems that can perform multiple operations or tasks simultaneously have been under many years of development and evolvement, adapting to the requirements on energy efficiency and conservation in global economy. The relevant research on parallel architectures, algorithms and programming provide abundant theory, design and analysis on parallel and distributed computing systems. A forthcoming Special Issue of Computers and Electrical Engineering will be devoted to “Parallel Architectures, Algorithms and Programming”. The objective of this special issue is to publish and overview the cutting edge research in the field of parallel architectures, algorithms and programming. This special issue is based on selected presentations at the 6th International Conference on Parallel Architectures, Algorithms and Programming (PAAP 2014), and papers submitted for this call for papers. All submitted papers are subject to the same review process as those papers accepted for publication in the regular issues.

Topics include:

Multi/many-core architectures
Cluster, grid and cloud computing systems
Task mapping and job scheduling
Network routing and traffic control
Media computing in parallel/distributed systems
Cloud security
Mass data stream processing in clouds
Big data models and computation theory
Big data mining
