co-located with
The Third IEEE International Conference on Cloud Networking
http://www.ieee-cloudnet.org/
8-10th October 2014
LUXEMBOURG
Important Dates
Paper Submission: June 16, 2014
Notification: August 1, 2014
Camera Ready: August 15, 2014
Mobility management aims at the efficient use of transportation resources. It prioritizes more efficient modes such as public transport. On the other hand, traffic management deals with road network efficiency, i.e., it aims at the maximisation of the throughput of vehicles.
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) apply a wide range of new technologies that can improve mobility and traffic management. The next-generation cooperative ITS will include all entities of a road-network, such as vehicles, roadside units, personal devices, and traffic management centers. The use of cloud computing as a service to assist drivers is also a novel technology that is emerging in ITS.
In this special session, we invite authors to submit papers that address new methods, techniques and applications to ITS for traffic and mobility management that also involve cloud computing. The session covers all related topics, including but not limited to:
Advanced public transportation management
Transit signal priority
Real-time arrival information
Multi-modal ITS
Human factors, travel behavior
Driver and traveler support systems
Cooperative traffic information systems
Security and privacy issues in ITS
Mobility modeling, prediction and control
Application of wireless communications technologies for ITS
Autonomous vehicles
Cloud computing applications for ITS
Cloud computing tools for ITS
Supporting Journals Special Issues
Selected best papers of the IEEE CloudNet'14 will be recommended for publication in the following international journals:
IEEE Transaction on Cloud Computing, special issue on "Cloud Networking"
Journal of Grid Computing (Impact Factor 1.603), special issue on "Green Cloud Computing"
International Journal of Metaheuristics, special issue on "Metaheuristics and Cloud"
