SCOPE

Power-aware computing is becoming one of the top research priorities for a variety

of computer systems. This workshop provides a forum for researchers & practitioners

to discuss new ideas, experiences, and the latest trends about building power-aware

algorithms, systems, and architectures.



TOPICS OF INTEREST

The focus areas for this workshop include, but are not limited to:


    * Power-aware runtime systems

    * Power and performance modeling and evaluation

    * Tools for power profiling, accounting and measurement

    * System-level cross-layer coordination

    * Hardware/software co-design to improve power efficiency

    * Emerging power efficient storage device such as SSD

    * Power-aware programming scheme

    * Power-aware resource management strategies

    * Novel architecting that assists in power management

    * Thermal control and reduction



PUBLICATION

The workshop papers will be included in the proceedings of ICPP. The published

papers will be available at the conference in CD format, and will be submitted

to the IEEE CS Digital Library.



SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

-----

Submissions should be formatted according to the IEEE standard double column

format with a font size 10 pt or larger, and should not exceed 8 pages (all

inclusive). Submissions will be judged on relevance, significance, originality,

correctness and clarity. See the workshop website for further information.
