The 7th International Workshop on Ultrascale Visualization (Ultravis'12)
held in conjunction with IEEE/ACM Supercomputing (SC) 2012,
Salt Lake City, Utah, Monday, November 12, 2012

URL: http://vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/Ultravis12

The output from leading-edge scientific simulations, experiments, and sensors is so voluminous and complex that advanced visualization techniques are necessary to make correct and timely interpretation of the results. Even though visualization technology has progressed significantly in recent years, we are barely capable of exploiting terascale data to its full extent, and petascale datasets are on the horizon. This workshop aims at addressing this pressing issue by fostering communication between visualization researchers and the users of visualization. We solicit novel research ideas and practices of large data visualization. Topics of the workshop include but are not limited to:

• Large Data Visualization
• Parallel Visualization
• In Situ Visualization
• Feature Extraction and Tracking
• Remote Visualization
• Petascale Applications
• Performance Visualization for Petascale Computing
• Clouding Computing and Visualization
• Visualization on Supercomputing Platforms
• Visualization on GPUs and GPU Clusters
• Visualization on Multicore CPUSs
• Data Reduction and Uncertainty
• Architectures for Large Data Visualization
• Flow visualization
• Time-Varying Data Visualization
• Knowledge-Assisted Visualization
• Visualization on High-Resolution Displays

Papers submitted to this workshop should be in IEEE format and no longer than 10 pages. The papers should be original and not previously published. Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop topics. Papers presented at the workshop will be included in the SC'12 workshop proceedings as part of the IEEE digital library.

Papers Submission Deadline: October 1, 2012
