AG Users:

Two opportunities to tell your story about interesting use of the Access
Grid! Please consider sharing your experiences with the AG community
through either or both of these channels.

-----------------------------------------------
(1) AG Focus newsletter (June 2004 issue)
AG Focus launched in June 2003 as a quarterly publication to inform
users and developers about Access Grid(TM) developments. Published by
the Futures Laboratory at Argonne National Laboratory, AG Focus reflects
Access Grid worldwide developments and interests with articles and
updates contributed by the AG community-at-large.

We're in the midst of preparing the content layout for the next issue of
AG Focus to be published in conjunction with the AG Retreat 2004 in
June.

Interested in submitting? Please forward your ideas (or draft articles)
to <ag-info at mcs.anl.gov> on/before Friday, 30 April. Stories should be
between 300-500 words, submitted in text format. Images are encouraged
if at all possible - 300 dpi jpeg or tif with actual image size of 4x6'
@ 300dpi.

-----------------------------------------------
(2) AG Retreat 2004 (June 9-11, Toronto)
As a special feature, Day 1 of the AG Retreat 2004 has been designated
as the AG Showcase - a full day of the most interesting, unique,
creative and/or practical applications and uses of the Access Grid
Toolkit. The AG Showcase will include 16 presentations and/or
demonstrations, accompanied by related posters, selected from proposals
received from the AG community-at-large.

Submissions for presentations in the AG Showcase should reflect the
innovative range of applications of Access Grid technologies beyond
video teleconferencing. Rather, these presentations will explore how the
Access Grid is being repurposed in unique ways, which
often are developed in tandem with other technologies. The AG Showcase
will feature work drawn from research and development areas such as:
Artistic Projects, Scientific Visualization, and Grid Computing among
others.

Proposals for AG Showcase 2004 should be submitted to via email to
<ag2004 at accessgrid.org>, by Friday, April 20, 2004.

Proposals should include a 2-4 page description of each
exhibit/demonstration. Submitters should be prepared to provide a
30-minute demonstration presentation or talk, along with a poster or
display.
