Tom,
I have installed Shared Browser and Shared Presentation using the files
from the website you indicated. Unfortunately no mailcap file is setup.
Can you plkease provide me the mailcap entry for shared presentation?

Ferdinand:
The errors you are getting could also occur if you haven't installed the
shared browser. This component is not included in the standard AG2
release. It is a separate installer, available from the same web page
where you retrieved the AG2 software.
http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/fl/research/accessgrid/software/releases/2.0
/windows.html
The installer should set up your mailcap file properly.

Tom

Yes, in fact that's what I was going to have you do. :)

python MailcapSetup.py --help
It should print out some usage information (this assumes python is in
your path). Here's a quick and dirty tutorial:
python MailcapSetup.py --mime-type "application/x-ag-shared-browser"
--executable "C:\Documentst and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\AccessGrid\applications\SharedBrowser\SharedBrowser.py"
--description "This is the shared browser" --nametemplate
"sharedbrowser"
That should generate a file in C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Application Data\AccessGrid\mailcap
Please let me know if there are any errors or if it doesn't generate the
file. Thanks!

Yes, mailcapSetup.py is within the AGTk 2.0 directory. Can I generate
the mailcap file manualy by using this program?

That shouldn't make much difference as it get's the name for
that folder out of the registry. Do you have C:\Program
Files\AGTk 2.0\MailcapSetup.py (replacing c:\Program Files
with wherever you installed it)?

Unfortunately I could not find any mailcap files within the
directories you indicated and within any other directory.
Installation
und using AGTk have been done with the same Userid. I am using the
German version of Windows XP, which means, that the directory
c:\Documents and Settings is called c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen

For whatever reason you don't have a valid mailcap file. Can
you send the mailcap file from c:\\Administrator\Application
Data\AccessGrid\mailcap
and also from C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Application Data\AccessGrid\mailcap wher
<username> is the user you're trying to run as. Also, did you
by chance install the AGTk as another user than the one
you're currently running as?

Hello,
I am using AG 2.0 with windows XP. When I try to start
the Shared
Browser application I get the following error message:
No Client registered for the selected application
(mime type = application/x-ag-shared-browser)
How can I register a client?
Kind regards
