[AG-USERS] Australian Test buddy?

Lots of people offered help. So many hard to thank everyone individually.

Thanks to all who offered to help, I am afraid it might be a while before I
will be testing again.

I dug around and found we need to bring hardware and network up to specs. :(

If anyone has some thoughts on the following, I'd like to hear them.
--------------------------------------------
I was given a task to install AG in a meeting room at University of South
Australia.

Docs on AG seem a bit scattered so I may have missed something. So forgive me
if I am asking something I should have read but missed. A pointer docs I missed
would be much appreciated.

We are short of many things by "PIG" specs. Hardware can be purchased but that
needs to be justified. I need to demonstrate to supervisor who requested AG be
installed what we lack and why. He did not like the sound of "Specs list dual
Xeon" :)

We have:
4 x 1.5Ghz Ghz 512Mb Windows 2k/XP boxes.
Lots of Firewire cameras and can find USB cameras (WebCam type)
2 PCs have Dual VGA out.
NO VIDEO Capture cards at all.
Headset microphones + room audio.
All 100Mbs networked locally and one box outside of firewall, but not sure
about multicast.

It is close to impossible to put more then 1 box outside of firewall.
(bureaucracy, not security) but the one box we do have outside of firewall, we
can do with as we please, route traffic trough, port map, VPN, whatever.

Is it do-able to put together a simplest of nodes to give a taste of what AG is
about with what I have so my supervisor can make a decision?

What happens if I don't have video capture? Do I lose funcionality or all goes
off the rails? I keep getting lots of AG processes not exiting when I exit
VenueClient. I am wondering if that is an artifact caused by not being able to
initialize required (missing) hardware.
