I cannot replicate this problem here. I wonder if you are running  
iptables (or some other security framework) that is causing problems  
in the Linux environment?

Another possibility - I recall you previously had other issues related  
to the language settings; could you temporarily revert to US keyboard  
and test whether there is any difference in the VenueManagement  
behaviour?


BTW, since your VenueManagement tool is able to connect to the server  
at all, I assume you're using 64bit system. Is that correct? We have  
recently found VenueManagement connection problems with 32bit systems  
under Linux.
