Colleagues

I am happy to announce the release of a Fedora 12 install guide for the Access Grid.

Some of the sections have undergone substantial redevelopment from previous install guides.

The install guide can be found at http://www.accessgrid.org/node/1911 which contains the following section:

    * Introduction
    * Single and Multi-Node Access Grids Notes
    * Installation of Fedora 12
    * Which windows manager to choose?
    * First time Login
    * Getting networking working
    * Updating to latest Software and Patches
    * Installation of the Access Grid Software
    * Security
    * Configuring AG Service Managers (Multi-Node Configuration Only)
    * Getting the Display to Work
    * Getting the Sound Working
    * Setup For Access Grid Toolkit 3.x
    * Installing Multicast Beacon
    * Installing Other Useful Software
    * Scheduling useful tasks
    * Configuring a Unicast Bridge
    * Configuring a 3.x Venue Server
    * Troubleshooting Tips
    * Handy Tips and Tricks
    * Conclusion

I hope to also develop the HDV/DV section shortly as well.

I welcome any comments and feedback that anyone might have (including any content issues).

Thanks for your time,
Jason.
