Brian will discuss his Geovisual Analytics work on using web-
based tools such as maps, timelines, and concept graphs to
visually represent places and keywords extracted from news
stories. He will also relate his experience in contextualizing hu-
manitarian crisis situations to emerging applications and challenges.
