[AG-TECH] Rat mbus errors

All,

I've run into a bit of an issue with Rat mbus errors. At UCSF, we are
currently using a Dell XPS running Windows XP to run AG 3.02 Server,
Registry Peer, and Bridge Server all in one. Audio works reliably
almost all the time. Only recently has one site reported occasional
rat mbus errors, that are quickly corrected by turning audio off, then
on again. The clients are all Windows 3.1 except for one Mac 3.1
client (this one is at the VA, and it has been a chore to try to get
it to work ... we are constantly getting audio problems, where the
audio degrades quickly - after about 10 minutes). I tried upgrading
the server to Windows XP + AG Server 3.1, but ran into a strange
Bridge issue where it would work only for an initial bridge
connection, then fail on all other attempts, so the server has stayed
on 3.02. We used to have many audio drop-outs, until the clients were
upgraded to 3.1, then audio was rock solid until only recently.

Trying to work around this, I set up a Fedora 8 installation with AG
3.1 running on another Dell XPS, believing this would be a more stable
solution. Unfortunately, with this setup, we are getting many rat
mbus errors (in a 90 minute conference, 2 different sites encountered
these errors about 20 minutes into the conference). In testing this
setup with 4 clients, I almost immediately got a rat mbus error.
These errors take a lot of fiddling around, turning audio off and on,
to get it to work again. Strangely, on one setup, rat would
continually error out when toggling off and on until I switched from
multicast to unicast.

I believe this was reported to the list before, but don't recall if
there was any resolution. Any ideas, suggestions, etc. are appreciated.

Enrique
