Are they using the same wxPython and Tcl/Tk toolkits?  Are you sure those 
toolkits are also available on those platforms?

If they're not using the same toolkits, then maybe this might actually be a 
better starting point for re-implementing onto the iPhone -- or Mac OS X 
10.5, for that matter.

There's actually an existing video chat program for jailbroken iPhones that 
does exactly this (see <http://tinyurl.com/6yx742>), but as you say it's not 
particularly elegant.
