[AG-TECH] Is PING required?

Can someone please clarify whether the firewall must allow inbound/outbound ICMP 'echo request' in the following cases, respectively:

AG Toolkit client v3.02

AG Toolkit VenueServer v3.02

AG Toolkit BridgeServer v3.02

...and also for the forthcoming v3.1 as well.
