this nice.  i've had 'kind' as a column but normally don't scroll over to
it (i keep my AM window compact).  i Am running the intel RAT.  hmmmm.
maybe my perception was off... 
i'll put this mac in the testing session today and pay close attention to
the rat/vic sync.
