Hi, I have recently built a new video conference suit here in our
building.
A large part of the build is a new AG node to be used for senior
management meetings and, I have this time been asked to build it on
Windows.
The winXP capture machine has given me a series of problems trying to
get either multiple osprey or Hauppauge cards to be detected by VIC.
I've tried the registry hacks that were mentioned in the archives; alas
to no avail.
I have a project milestone of August 16th to have all four cameras piped
into the AG node; we go into production on September 1. Currently I am
struggling with one capture card on the Display and a single capture
card on the Capture computer.
I've requested money for additional capture cards, as my existing ones
are +5 years old anyway.
I thought the winnov Quattro looked good, but I am having a hard time
getting one here in Canada.
The new computers, slightly used hand-me-down Dell GX620's, have two PCI
and one PCI-X slot. Beggars can't be choosers...
I see that the Viewcast Osprey 240, a PCI-X four port capture device is
available and in stock with one supplier.
Does anyone have any experience with such a card or other suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
David Scobie
