[AG-TECH] Access Grid Retreat 2007: Important Dates

A few clarifications here:

- The hotel apparently has a problem in their reservation system. When I've
spoken with them, they've tried to be helpful. I've been assured today that
there are still rooms available, so if you had problems before, please
try now.
The current suggestion is that you ask for 'inhouse registration' when
trying
to book your reservation. The website is probably not the place to go for
right now.

- Contracting a room block with a hotel requires estimation of the number
of rooms you think you'll use, since the contract typically requires
payment
for rooms that go unbooked. This arrangement prevents us from contracting
for way more rooms and way more days than we think we need. I wish this
wasn't true, but it is. On a positive note, if you ask the hotel to
honor the
group rate for days outside the retreat dates, they might be willing to
do so
(even if they previously told you they would not).

- Yes you are supposed to get confirmation of your registration. I'll
take that
up with you separately.
