Hello,

I need some help: I'm trying to configure 2 PCs over a LAN, both with XP
Pro, to have them acting, respectively, as venueserver and venueclient.
They both have fixed IPs, which are 192.168.2.214 for the server and
192.168.2.218 for the client. The seocond also runs a small node (Philips
TouCAM, headphone, mic).
I also configured some venues on the server and gave them access via the
Lobby default venue.
When I try to access the venues on the server, however, I receive the
error "can not connect to venue located at ... etc. etc.". I tried to
access the venues on the server both referencing it as IP address:
https://192.168.2.218:8000/Venues/default or network name:
https://<pcname>:8000/Venues/default.
I also tried this:
1) launched the venue server on the machine at 192.168.2.218
2) launched the venue client on the same machine (192.168.2.218) and tried
to connect to the server, referencing it as: localhost,
192.168.2.218:8000, <pcname.domain>:8000,<pcname>:8000: in all four cases
the connection was successful, meaning that the node/client is well
configured

3) launched venue server on the machina at 192.168.2.214
4) launched the venue client on the same machine (192.168.2.214) and
tried to connect to the server, referencing it as: localhost,
192.168.2.214:8000, <pcname.domain>:8000, <pcname>:8000: in all four cases
the connection was successful, meaning that also the server seems to be
well configured and running. I left the venueclient connectet to the venue
server on the same machine then
5) tried to connect the venueclient on 192.168.2.214 to the server at
192.168.2.218 and no luck referencing it as 192.168.2.214:8000,
<pcname.domain>:8000 or <pcname>:8000: I got the error message mentionned
before
6) after getting the error message on the venueclient on 192.168.2.218 I
looked onto the venueclient on the other machine and... SURPRISE! It
seemed I was online and active inside the lobby venue, even if on the
venueclient on the 192.168.2.218 machine I was indicated as not connected
to any venue.

I really have no clue... anyone can help please?
Thank you very much.
Faber B.
