[AG-TECH] help:what's about building a web-based venue client?

Hi Mingji:

I think there is a space that could be filled by what you propose, but
it's of a narrower scope.

I have heard requests for simple, web-based access to AG meetings.
These requests are normally for just audio and video. If you could
build a web-based front-end to a venue, you could launch media
tools from the browser (this is exactly what AG1 did). I think the
users who have requested this functionality would find it more usable
if the audio/video tools were embedded in the browser, which could
be done with the Java you are hoping to use. If you could also give
these users unicast access to the media streams over HTTP, you would
solve the multicast and firewall problems that many of these "casual"
users would encounter.

Lastly, I would suggest that you base your work on AG3, which has now
seen two beta releases and will become the AG software of choice over
the next year or so. If I can provide any assistance, let me know.

Thanks,
Tom Uram

VenueClientUI writen in wxPython to be writen by HTML elements. In this
case, the user can also use AG's shared applications to collaborate with other
partners ,or it can even use audio service and video servie. I will let all
users come into the default venue. I only want to change the usage style of AG
client for web users and the AG server is keeping its old style. This is my
application scene. Do you think it is possible for this? Is it difficult? or
how much work should I do or what work I should do? or do your have any
suggestions for this case? I have only half a year to do this , and I want to
imlement it in java.
