[AG-TECH] Installing AG 2.3 on Gentoo

I'm installing AG 2.3 on Gentoo and I'm having a problem
(perhaps more then one?).

The packages that still need to go in are: 


   venues portage # emerge --pretend ag-libs/agtk

   These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

   Calculating dependencies ...done!
   [ebuild  N    ] ag-media/vic-1.1.13  
   [ebuild  N    ] ag-libs/agtk-2.3  

When I try to install the vic, the build ends with:

   collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
   make: *** [vic] Error 1

   !!! ERROR: ag-media/vic-1.1.13 failed.
   !!! Function src_compile, Line 41, Exitcode 2
   !!! Failed to make rat

   Calculating dependencies          ...done!
   >>> emerge (1 of 1) ag-media/vic-1.1.13 to /
   >>> md5 src_uri ;-) ag-media-2.2.tar.gz

I've attached the output of the whole build in case it's useful.
I'm obviously missing something but I don't know what it could 
be. Would anyone have a suggestion?
