Lee,

I have the AccuMic II for my desktop node and it works really well in 
that situation.

However I've also been in one session where it was used in a classroom 
and another session in a lecture hall. Unfortunately the results in 
both cases were quite bad - useable if you're desparate, but not good 
otherwise.

Incidentally, I think the XAP400 is a bit nicer to use than the AP400.
