[AG-TECH] ANL Lobby bridge

Hi Juli!

In case of unicast you have to open a port range of 4 ports to enable
unicast access to a unicast-multicast bridge.
The bridge itself should be located within a multicast network as far as I
know to be able to translate the unicast packages to multicast packages and
the other way round. We are running our own bridge and bridgeing our own
Venue at the ANL-server in a multicast network. So if you like you could
test with this one for the beginning to see if all other things work fine so
far ( maybe we could meet in the room at a specific date, so you see someone
in the room).
Still, to be able to use the multicast-unicast bridge for our room, you have
to open ports 50096-50099 in your firewall. This port range is specific to
our room and changes with every other room you join. You can get the ports
and ip-addresses for a couple of rooms from the attachment I sent in the
previous e-mail.

To finally enable bridging, you just connect with the client to the server.
Once connected go to the menu "Preferences->Use unicast" and select that
menu entry. A dialog appears showing you a mc-uc-bridge labeled something
with "University of Stuttgart". Select that one and you should be able to
participate in the room as if you would use multicast. However this is only
valid for our room on on the ANL server so far.

To test it, connect to:
https://vv2.mcs.anl.gov:9000/Venues/000000f5569d3f0a008c00dd000b003761b

Then once connected perform the above tasks to enable the unicast bridge.

Michael
