Ah HA!  The missing puzzle piece!  Thanks for the clarification!

And thanks for the pointer to rdesktop!  I didn't know that this 
existed.  Since I use both VNC and Remote Desktop all the time, it's quite 
cool to have another tool that expands my reach.
