Steve:

Are you able to use the camera in other applications?  If so, it could be that the VfwWdm 
mapper is set to an invalid selection.  Try this:

- Run vic from the command-line.  You'll find it in the following directory:

    c:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\AccessGrid\local_services\VideoService

- In the menu, under Options, select "Configure on transmit"

- Hit the transmit button.  You should get a list of devices from which to choose.
   Set it to your camera, if you recognize it in the list; if not, try each of the settings
   there.

This mapping is not managed in the AccessGrid code.  If it's set incorrectly, vic will 
crash whenever you try to use it.
