There is an IR remote control, volume control panel and/or select control
panel that can be connected to the Gentner XAP-400 audio conference system
that can provide the muting functionality. The control panels could be
placed where the user needs then. I don't know if this is available with
earlier Gentner models.

We are looking for a solution to allow the participants in our room to mute
and unmute the mics at will.  Our requirements are that the system must have
multiple buttons to place around the room, but when one person unmutes the
mics, the entire room goes live.  We would also like the system to have a
visual cue as to if the room is live or muted.  Can anyone point me in a
direction as to what others are doing in their rooms for microphone control?
