[AG-TECH] RE: Quad S-Video Capture Cards

Hi:

The new cards do not need to be 64bit and/or 66Mhx, but as pointed out Ti
Leggett, they must be 3.3 volt compatible to fit the newer motherboards. I
am a little surprised about this all. Video and Ethernets cards have been
compatible for a while. (I have a 2 year old Matrox video card that is just
fine) So, why not the video capture cards, is it a problem with the chipset
(BT878)?

Roger is right. Our new video capture machine has only 3 available 32
bit/33 Mhz slots, so we would like to utilize the available 64 bit/66
Mhz slots for additional cameras. When we purchased the machine, any
information I could find online and Dell tech support told my that I
could use 32 bit cards in the 64 bit slots. I have since discovered that
this is theoretically possible, if only the cards would physically fit
in the slots. I've been on the lookout for an affordable 64 bit card
ever since. So, if anybody has any information on a solution, I, too
would appreciate it.

By the way, Roger - I'm almost glad you ran into this problem. I thought
maybe I was just being an idiot or suffered some serious brain damage
and wasn't putting the cards in right.
