Don,
$5000 ??? The monitors are only GBP200 = USD300 each - that's a lot
of glue you'll be using! For $5000 you could probably do a 2x4
array of monitors - 4096 x 1536 = 6 Mpixels, rather than 1x3 which
gives you 2.25 Mpixels (and still have money left over for the
second G200 card). [Does the Matrox software actually handle
8-9 channels?]
I have 3 industrial LCD modules at home (1 inch steel surround) -
I'll see what they look like hooked up to our node.

So, I just did a quick search on prices, and found an
article saying "At $9,995.00, Model PV230 DSK Breaks
the Price/Performance Barrier for Immersive, Multi-Panel
Displays." Interestingly, one can buy three pretty
good projectors for that price :) I agree, though,
it "is" cool and maybe there are some lower cost
alternatives? Heck, for $5k I'll build one for anybody
who wants me to - three monitors + superglue!
