Internet2 will be hosting the Grace Hopper Project at the Ann Arbor, MI
office. I plan on demonstrating the AGN
technology. I have reserved the Big Horn room for the event. The meeting
will take place June 19, 10:00am
to 1:00pm. The time commitment will be the entire time because they plan on
having approximately 45 girls
attend. Is anyone interested in participating in this demo? If so, please
contact me at your earliest
convenience. Below is information on the Grace Hopper Project.

Thanks for your consideration!

The Grace Hopper Project is an exciting one week program designed for young
women who will complete the 9th, 10th or 11th grade by June, 2002. The
program explores computer technology by introducing students to advanced
multimedia design and development; dynamic web programming;
computer-assisted virtual environments; and both hardware and software life
cycle management from initial conception/design to operation/support.
Projects will focus on developing computer skills that allow participants
to improve their communities. Each day includes hands-on computer projects
and opportunities to talk with women scientists and engineers, learn about
careers of the future and have lots of fun exploring the UM campus and
selected high technology sites. This project is sponsored by the Women in
Science and Engineering Program at the University of Michigan, College of
Engineering and the School of Information .
