 Ivan and Jin Tian, thanks a lot for the help!

 Our problem was that VRVS/VIC had a low frame rate (~5 f/s)
 when used with an old LifeView/FlyVideo video capture card.

 We thought at first it was due to VfW/WDM mapping overhead.
 Now we are trying to eliminate an interrupt conflict.

 Anyway, these are preliminary tests.  We are installing the
 AG RedHat distribution.  Hopefully we will get a budget and
 move to Hauppauge or Osprey cards soon.
