   Speaking of VNC, one of the issues with several remote sites is
the burst of unicast traffic streams when there are significant
changes in the screen image.

   Has anyone tried multicast VNC?  I've seen the web site at
http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ziewer/MulticastVNC/  but
haven't tried it.  As I recall it is actually a modified CLIENT
that acts a bit like a unicast to multicast bridge (I guess one
advantage would be that you wouldn't have to modify servers).
