Computational Physics Workshop

This event will be an NSF sponsored workshop
involving approximately 18 invited talks and four
panels to discuss challenges and emerging
opportunities in computational physics.  Two of
the panels will likely be held in the evening of
the first day.  The talks will be designed to
stimulate discussion of the special needs of this
discipline and how best to respond to those needs.
The panels will provide a forum for further
discussion of the issues and for the other
participants to provide their views.  In addition,
we expect that there will be active demonstrations
of some of the current capabilities of
computational physics and what has already been
learned that would have been difficult or
impossible using other approaches.  Proceedings of
the workshop will appear as an NSF publication and
be widely distributed in the community.
