The G450 is fine in the Microsoft OS world - you need to do some funky
stuff with RedHat 6.X to get it to go so if you get it for the Display
machine then you'll be all set.

At BU we have recently switched to using a single G450-AGP and 2
G450-PCI cards for our projectors. We use the AGP card for two
projectors and a single head on each of the G450-PCI for the third
projector and the Console head.

Skimping on cameras is not wise - having 4 is sometimes not enough :-)
Being able to show others your screen is key and especially while you
work on your node having one on the operatoe is huge. In addiiton you
need to get audience shots and speaker and question asker/giver ....

Actually the number of microphopnes is not related to the number of
sound cards. You only need one soundcard (the reccomended Creative
Ensoniq PCI) the microphones need to be connected to an echo
cancellation device - the Gentner AP400 or such.

Again like number of cameras the nuber of projectors makes the
environment complete. Because of the extensive use of powerpoint as a
presentation technique you loose an entire projector to that - which
would leave you with one for people shots - which after 2-3 sites make
it impossible to see anyone in a useful fashion.
