[AG-TECH] RE: April 13th Meeting

Fred, thanks for reserving the room.

Since (I think) Roscoe's the chair of this meeting, and (I think) he'll be
at BU, it's been pointed out to me this morning that I should take care of
the technical preparations for this meeting. My apologies for not
stepping in sooner. So. . . I will prepare and distribute an agenda for
the test cruise, and need to hammer away at a couple points again (and
Roscoe or anybody from IAAEC, I need your help here):

* We need to know which AG sites are participating, and we need all these
sites to participate in the test cruise tomorrow. The sites which I've
heard may be participating are:

       * University of Washington
         Technical contact: fred at cs.washington.edu
       * University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (CS dept node)
         Technical contact: p-lenear at cs.uiuc.edu
       * Boston University
         Technical contact: jtvh at bu.edu
       * Argonne
         Technical contact: ???
       * possibly DC (I assume that's ACCESS)
         Technical contact: tcoffin at ncsa.uiuc.edu)

Roscoe: is this the full list of participating sites?
Argonne and Tom Coffin: are you available for tomorrow's test cruise,
12:30 - 2:30 PDT (3:30 - 5:30 EDT)?

* I know somebody (I believe it was Raquell?) is putting together a web
page with links to all the powerpoint files. When that's ready, please
send me the URL. I'll test the files to make sure they aren't using any
PPT features which are not supported in dppt.

I haven't heard any response regarding how fault-tolerant this meeting
is, so I'll assume we need telephone back-up. I'll arrange a telephone
conference call for this purpose. All participating sites must have their
Gentners appropriately configured for switching among the net, telco, and
bridge pre-sets before the test cruise; we'll rehearse this switching
during the cruise.

- Jennifer
