Security and privacy considertation for VTC

Can any one point me to a paper security and privacy considerations 
associated with generic IP based video conferencing?

Basically, I'm being asked questions I can't answer regarding the real 
risks of non encrypted peer to peer conferencing. We would like to use IP 
based VTC technology to convene meetings were proposals are discussed.
