I am a firm believer in free interprise.
Obvious gotcha's that can occur:
straying from tried and true configurations can cause a lot
of work in reconfiguration. Making two video display
cards or four video capture cards work in one computer
can be a tremendous chore.
If you have the resources and technical staff
then i vote for "Go for it!". If you want it to work
with minimal effort, use what works. . .
